Nürnberg Community

The Arctic is warming twice as fast as the rest of the world. At the same time, it has become the stage for an extractive green transformation and renewed military build-up. Yet for the Sámi—Europe's last remaining indigenous people—this landscape is home, livelihood, and cultural heritage. This exhibition brings together photographs from Northern Scandinavia with texts that recount the beauty and vulnerability of the Arctic landscape. It explores reindeer herding under pressure, resistance to neo-colonial land-use relations, and the question: Security for whom?
