**Vending Machine Break-Ins in Nuremberg Lead to Swift Arrests**
In a series of early morning incidents on September 9, 2026, two vending machines were broken into in Nuremberg. The first break-in occurred at around 1:30 AM in Dr.-Kurt-Schumacher-Straße, where unknown individuals forced open the machine and stole tobacco products worth €400, causing €1,500 in damages. A second incident followed a few hours later at approximately 4:00 AM near Plärrer, with similar outcomes.
Thanks to an alert witness, police were able to identify two suspects in Nuremberg's city center. During the stop, officers found stolen goods on one of the men, linking him to the Plärrer theft. The suspects, aged 18 and 21, are Ukrainian nationals. Authorities are now investigating if they may be connected to other similar crimes.
The case is currently under investigation by Nuremberg's Criminal Police Department to determine further involvement in related incidents.
